Events & Activities During the time of Pandemic
Since the time of pandemic, Soegijapranata Catholic University (SCU) has launched 25 books written by faculties, students, and staff. Among the published books are reflective books related with pandemic and books launched to commemorate certain events. The book entitled “21 Refleksi Pembelajaran Daring di Masa Darurat” is the first reflective book written by 21 faculties as a reflection on the first three weeks of conducting fully online classes due to covid-19 pandemic. Another best seller book is “Surat Kartini Masa Kini: Catatan Para Ibu Multi Peran” which was launched to commemorate one of the Indonesian heroines. During the time of pandemic, SCU also holds several events and activities in collaboration with its partner universities. In collaboration with Marian International Institute of Management (MIIM), SCU conducted a series of connecting classes on Cultural Exchange. The virtual classes have been conducted since May 2020 and followed by students from both institutions. Another collaborated project was in the form of choral collaboration between SCU and Christ deemed to be university, covering a devotional song, 10000 Reasons by Matt Redman. Awards & Achievements
SCU has received two awards from LEPRID (Institute of Indonesian and World Achievement Record) for its achievement in conducting 205 online poem reading on 5 May 2020 and for being the first university conducting a virtual graduation with face tracking technology (25 June 2020). SCU received a grant from the Indonesian government for virtual student credit transfer program. Five students from SCU are taking online courses at Chang Jung Christian University, Tainan, Taiwan. The program starts in the second week of September 2020. Those students are taking six subjects for the autumn period at Chang Jung Christian University, Taiwan.
